Señorita Melissa Page began speaking Spanish in Kindergarten. Since then, Melissa has developed a love of the Spanish language and culture and a passion for increasing Spanish language education for children of all ages. Melissa has worked for five years as a Spanish and French teacher at GAMP High School (Girard Academic Music Program) in South Philadelphia. She is also known for her Sangria Sessions, popular wine and Spanish conversation classes for adults held around Philadelphia.
Melissa holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Chestnut Hill College. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis and her Master’s Degree in Business from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Melissa is also involved with several non-profit organizations around Philadelphia, including the Junior League of Philadelphia, The Curtis Institute of Music, Livestrong’s Team I Hate Cancer, Monster Milers, and One Mind.
Melissa honed her Spanish speaking skills with more than 50 trips to Mexico, Latin America, and Spain. She also has experience working behind the scenes in marketing for Telemundo, the Spanish language broadcast television network. She is excited to bring her passion for the rich Spanish and Latin American culture to her students.
